Overview

Privilege is well known for producing strong and sturdy catamarans while complementing the reliability with exquisite interior craftsmanship.

This vessel embodies those traits and has been well maintained and improved upon by its current owners who have outfitted it for bluewater sailing. Graceful is ready to set sail and cruise.

The over-sized cockpit provides an excellent space for entertaining and ease of sailing. The hulls of the Privilege 42 have a headroom of 6 ft 4 in (1.93 m) and the saloon a headroom of 6 ft 5 in (1.96 m). Perfect for taller captains and crew! The boat was built back when catamarans were made to be sailing vessels. Graceful sails beautifully, able to keep up with your fellow buddy boats with ease!

Layout & Accommodations

Open the French doors and the patio sized huge cockpit becomes an extension of the salon for entertaining, and alfresco dining at her beautiful teak table that seats at least 8 guests.

The nav station shares the main salon with the salon settee that allows for plenty of seating space. The well-appointed Chef’s galley is in the port hull but open to the salon for a roomy feel. ‘Graceful’ provides comfortable accommodations in four double cabins. The cabins offer hanging lockers, ample storage and excellent ventilation from overhead Lewmar hatches, opening ports.

Comfort is further enhanced by natural light flooding the interior from the large angled windows. ‘Graceful’ truly is a beautiful, functional and seaworthy vessel. Cruise equipped, regularly maintained and ready to go, with spare parts galore!

Included, because there is no better way to explore mangrove rivers!
Few catamarans can boast such a huge and perfectly protected from all sides cockpit!
Since the galley is in the hull, the salon provides ample space for meals and lounging. For our three children, it was more than enough to serve as a large classroom, while homeschooling on the water!
We love our free-standing 12V freezer. It is included!
The nav station is spacious and can be used for navigation, or arts, or an office space, or biology lab setting – we have tried them all!
The salon is open to the galley, so there is plenty of light and ventilation in the galley. It is perfect to cook a meal and enjoy each other’s company, while hiding the dirty dishes for later!
Lots of cabinets and counter space! It can easily rival many apartments!
Lots of counter space and cabinets, really!

    1. Thank you very much for your interest! We do have a few interested buyers willing to fly over to see the boat. At this time, we prefer to remain and sell the boat in the Caribbean.

  3. I have so loved following your adventures on both Gracefuls. I spent some time today looking back at your earlier posts and am astonished at how much the children have grown and matured. One doesn’t notice so much when it happens slowly before one’s eyes – it takes a backward glance to see what was compared to what is.

I’ve been a bit envious of your lifestyle, even when it meant “rebuilding” Graceful. I know you put so much work into her! I wish I were younger and knew more about sailing so I could buy Graceful without fear.

I worry that your move to Bulgaria will mean fewer visits to St. Mary! Please keep writing and giving us updates on the house “renovations.” We are all very eager to see how you reuse all those bricks and what it looks like it in the end. God speed in your new adventures and praying Graceful finds a family worthy of her!

    1. You have been a beloved reader! Thank you!
It was a difficult decision, I won’t lie. It was probably the best decision we made, as parents, it brought our family close together in all sorts of ways, praise be to God for that.
I hope to continue writing this blog, because I enjoy it, but there may be fewer waves and sands in the photos now (although the Greek beaches are a three-hour drive from our village!)
The captain is already planning to build a very successful business and buy a trimaran… Fun Police is not going away any time soon!
