Our favorite resources are below. While living on a boat and traveling, we tried and researched many (about 5 years’ worth). The ones below we love the most 🙂
Accommodation
Booking – A great place to search for hotels, hostels and guest houses. We have used Booking more times than I can remember. It is very easy to navigate.
Agoda – Agoda is great for accommodations in Asia. They are very similar to Booking and comparable to their prices.
Airbnb – We have used them and have had great stays with them, we loved our places in Kuala Lumpur and Kyoto.
Boating
BoatU.S. – A peace of mind, while cruising the US. We were always members, before heading abroad. They have helped thousands with boat towing, including our friends, including us!
West Marine – A favorite one of ours. We have shopped there a lot, and there is always a store near-by. We were also members and used great discounts, when we had our boats. Oh, and they match Amazon prices (do check about this, to make sure it is still the case).
Tours and Adventures
Viator – They have hundreds of tours to choose from. Great reviews to guide you and many smaller companies featured. We are all about keeping it local.
Flights
Expedia – We have been able to find low-cost flights to many destinations, using Expedia. For some flights, we also use local travel agencies in the country.
Travel and Nomad Insurance
SafetyWing – An insurance for travelers and nomads, created by travelers and nomads. I mean, this one is a no-brainer. Check them out, they know what they are doing and how to help.
